Our Logo

The logo of the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel was officially launched on July 6th, 2014.

This logo integrates four key elements; a guitar, waves, musical notes and the tricolours of the Acadian flag.

The guitar, featured in the Acadian colors with the yellow star, represents our heritage and our Acadian culture.  A guitar is an international symbol for music, our music.  Within our families and in our communities, this music plays a similar role to the one our mothers have had for us.  Just like our mothers have played a big role in the survival of our culture and our Acadian traditions, music has also played an important role in the survival of our culture, our oral traditions and our history.

The music, which resonates within this guitar, brings us together.  The waves of the ocean that rock our Island, our land, dance to the sound of the music.  The musical notes also dance in the soft wind over the waves.
